Senam Aseye B. Oyiadjo

Senam is a strategic communication and business development professional with extensive experience working for for-profit, non-profit, social enterprises and media firms. She has great business management, public relations and digital communication experience and has over the years combined these passions successfully to help businesses build, promote and strengthen their brands.

Senam works as a Consultant in the areas of media and communication, SME development and entrepreneurship, youth development and women economic empowerment. She has worked in various industries including Agriculture, Technology, Investments, Sports, & Entertainment etc. and has consulted on both local and international funded social impact projects for the German Development Cooperation, the U.S Department of State, Global Affairs Canada and the Dutch Government. She has also worked with and for various brands and organizations including Venture Capital Trust Fund, MBC Africa, PZ Cussons, Innohub Ghana, Child Online Africa, Abengoa Water Desalination Limited and others.

Senam Aseye runs Intentional Africa, a social enterprise with the mission to create equal opportunities and transformation for Africa’s youth through social, economic and community development initiatives focusing on the UN SDG goals and the African Union’s Agenda 2063. Through this, she founded the Ghana Start-up Community, an online community for entrepreneurs and recently collaborated with Invest in Africa and MasterCard Foundation to organise workshops and funding opportunities for start-ups. For the past 10years, she has been working with start-ups and SME’s and has actively been involved in the development and growth of the start-up and entrepreneurial ecosystem in Ghana through youth entrepreneurship and development initiatives which have also helped her gain deep-rooted networks in the Ghanaian start-up community.

She founded AxelVin Global Sports, a 360 high-profile athlete management and sports marketing agency as well as Aslan Sports Academy, a football club that identifies and grooms talented footballers and gives them the chance to fulfil their potential and realize their dreams of becoming professional footballers.

During Ghana’s election 2020, Senam was a Political Campaign Consultant and Digital Strategist for one of the two leading political parties in Ghana where she led the digital communication and political campaign drive. This she did by producing content to refine the online reputation of the Presidential candidate and increase the political party’s social community size by accurately targeting the audiences and converting social followers into electorates. She employed the use technology tools and digital engagement strategies to plan,analyse, andheighten loyalty and increase positive perceptions about the political party and it’s candidate in the eyes of the ordinary Ghanaian thereby driving long term success.

Senam Aseye also worked as the Communication and Business Development Manager of Suku Technologies, a tech firm. Among other achievements, she initiated and led on the development of a mobile, web and offline payment solution that provides financial solutions to the unbanked in rural Ghana as well as a trade and industry portal to connect startups and SME’s to global markets.

She also was the Communication Officer for MBC Africa, where she was responsible for the conception and execution of the company’s communications strategy. This entailed the coordination of internal and external communication outputs which she did through press products and channels, social media, and events. She soon transitioned into a Management role where she was engaged in incubator and accelerator programs, business development and coaching, needs assessment, investor readiness, fundraising and investments. She successfully led Strategic Partnerships with various organizations including African Agribusiness Incubator Network (AAIN), TechnoServe, Knutsford University amongst others. Senam was also the lead officer for Monitoring & Evaluation activities in over ten agribusiness firmsacross Ghana and led the Research team to conduct various studies and due diligence on Agribusinesses in Ghana.

Senam was a Public Relations and Brands Executive at Inen Limited, a leading PR and events agency where she advised and implemented PR campaigns and communication strategies for clients. She also managed the brand identity of clients including Koala Supermarket; one of Ghana’s biggest retail business, Manet Properties, Alldens Lane, and others.

In 2016, Senam was the PR and Social Media Consultant for Diplomatic Fair which was organised under the Auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Ghana. She also was the Project Manager of Startup Cup; a business plan competition for startups which is also a featured event of Global Entrepreneurship Week.

Senam was the Youth Ambassador for the UN Women Entrepreneurship Day in 2015. Senam was a Co-organiser and Co-chair of the Knowledge Management Capacity in Africa conference in Sudanand also participated in a Workshop on Impact Investing organised by the Venture Capital Trust Fund & Rockefeller Foundation.

Senam holds a degree in Communication Studies with focus on Strategic Communications from the African University College of Communication and an Information Technology Professional Certification from NIIT (BlueCrest University). Senam is passionate about volunteering, youth entrepreneurship and developmental projects.
