Support Officer – Ahmedabad

JOB DESCRIPTION – SUPPORT OFFICER

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing Membership Drive: The Support Officer will be responsible for managing the membership drive and identifying new members to join the Chamber of Commerce.
  • Hunting Profiles for Regional Chapter Offices and Members: The Support Officer will be responsible for hunting profiles for regional chapter offices and members to enhance the chamber’s presence in different regions.
  • Managing Local Events across the Country: The Support Officer will be responsible for organizing and managing local events across the country to promote the Chamber of Commerce and its members.
  • Member’s Support Activities: The Support Officer will be responsible for handling member support activities, including responding to inquiries, addressing complaints, and resolving issues.
  • Managing Trade Inquiries: The Support Officer will be responsible for managing trade inquiries and connecting potential buyers with sellers.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

 Asian-African Chamber of Commerce & Industry (AACCI), Foundation is registered in the state of Delaware, USA as a private, non-stock corporation to act as a trade & business promoting chamber supporting SMEs and industries by means of representing them as bilateral chamber for the Asian and African region and help them to build better economic growth and sustainable business.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Chamber Representation and Liaison

  • Write representations to government departments on behalf of chamber members.
  • Interface and liaise with government departments to address member concerns.
  • Ensure effective communication and advocacy for the interests of small, medium, and large enterprises.
  • Establish positive relationships with government officials to facilitate collaboration.

Event Organization and Marketing

  • Organize various chamber events, including seminars, workshops, and networking sessions.
  • Develop marketing strategies for events and seek sponsorships to support sessions.
  • Produce promotional materials and invitations for events.
  • Analyze event outcomes and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Communication and Documentation

  • Write annual highlights reports summarizing the chamber’s activities.
  • Craft press releases and event proceedings for distribution to the media and stakeholders.
  • Draft circulars on topics relevant to chamber members’ interests.
  • Create invitation letters for guest speakers and ensure effective follow-up.

Digital Marketing and Communication

  • Develop and circulate E-Newsletters containing policy updates, event information, etc.
  • Manage digital communication and campaigns across various platforms.
  • Implement changes on the chamber’s websites and social media accounts.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of digital projects and services.

Trade and Investment Promotion

  • Drive marketing efforts to promote trade and investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with team members to delegate tasks effectively.
  • Identify new business development opportunities in global and domestic markets.
  • Utilize LinkedIn for lead generation and client acquisition.

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage relationships with existing and potential clients to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Analyse clients’ business and technical requirements to develop tailored solutions.

Coordination and Global Networking

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities with the Global Secretariat Office.
  • Network with industry contacts and potential leads to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement website and social media changes.

Chapter Office Hunting:

  • Identify potential locations and regions for establishing new chapter offices.
  • Research market trends, industry clusters, and business demographics to inform location decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess the feasibility and viability of new chapter offices.

Chapter Office Coordination:

  • Establish clear communication channels with chapter offices to facilitate daily coordination.
  • Act as a central point of contact for chapter offices, addressing their queries and concerns.
  • Provide guidance and support to Chapter Presidents in their roles and responsibilities.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Program Development, Corporate Affairs, Government Liaison, Membership Growth, and Public Relations.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

EXECUTIVE OFFICER – Ahmedabad

Role Overview: The Executive Officer plays a pivotal role in driving growth, revenue, and strategic partnerships for the Chamber. They lead a dynamic team, focusing on membership expansion, financial sustainability, and enhancing the Chamber’s influence.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

  1. Membership Growth: Develop and execute strategies to expand the membership base by converting leads into new members.
  2. Revenue Generation: Achieve revenue targets through sales of memberships, sponsorships, and advertising opportunities.
  3. Member Engagement: Foster member satisfaction, engagement, and renewals for a strong and loyal member community.
