Dr. Satish Padmanabhan is a seasoned product development and delivery leader with over 24 years of experience in banking and financial services. At Standard Chartered, he drives strategic initiatives to enhance revenue, cost efficiency, data quality, and risk mitigation as the Strategic Product Owner and Data Risk Lead for Transaction Banking’s Data Platform.
Previously, he headed Financial Markets Metadata and Data Quality Delivery, leading teams that built in-house metadata repository platforms supporting regulatory compliance and enterprise data governance.
With deep expertise in graph databases, machine learning, and mathematical modeling, Dr. Satish has successfully delivered over 30 applications and platforms, serving more than 150 clients during his tenure at institutions like BNY Mellon.
A recipient of multiple global and national awards, he was honored with the World Leaders Award at the House of Lords, UK Parliament, with coverage in Forbes India and Business World. He serves as Honorary Advisor to the Asian African Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Senior Executive Fellow at The Digital Economist, contributing to research and policy on emerging technologies.
A recognized thought leader and global mentor, Dr. Satish is also a Doctoral Researcher exploring the intersection of Generative and Agentic AI with banking compliance.
