1973 to 2009: Deputy Director General, Ministry of Defence. Procurement, Policy, Trials & Evaluation, Commercial Contracts at Global Level.

Deputy Director General in Ministry of Defence dealing with media and with I&B Ministry.

Command of an Independent Armoured Strike Brigade, involving Strategic Planning, supply chain management, leading and managing 6,000 personnel and equipment worth Rs 3,000 crores. (2004).

Commanded a Counter Terrorism Sector in North Kashmir. Strategic Planning, logistics and Supply Chain Management to troops located on the Line of Control through terrorist infested road networks. Planning security measures for Operating Bases and execution of operations in extremely hazardous conditions. Security of logistic installations, Hospitals, Fuel, Supply and Ammunition Dumps in the heart of terrorist infested areas. Planned, organised and ensured security of polling booths and Election Nodes for Elections in Kashmir. Established an efficient intelligence network to prevent incidents. Received Award for Gallantry in 2003 and  Distinguished Service Award. (2002 to 2003).

Instructor in Army War College, Training officers for Senior Command, qualifying them for Diploma in Senior Level Management and command of a unit.

Director of Training Technologies at Army Training Command. Designing and introduction of Computer Simulation Systems and Training Aids. Received Distinguished Service Award (1996 to 1998).

Amongst Pioneers in IT, System Design and Programming. Received Distinguished Service Award. (1986 to 1990).

Instructor in Electronics and Communications at the Armoured Corps School. (1976 to 1980)
