Dr. Engr. Umar Audu Bida, FCME, Ph.D was the Executive Director, Projects monitoring and supervision at Audu Bida & Sons United Company Limited, a member of the Audu Bida Group of Companies. Dr. Engr. Umar Audu Bida was responsible for the execution of the Federal government of Nigeria contract awarded to Audu Bida & Sons United Company Limited for the construction of Universal Basic Education, UBE Teachers Training schools project for the construction of access roads, classrooms and sports fields in 10 locations viz; Doko, Wushishi, Paiko, Izom in Niger State, Wasagu and Sokoto in Sokoto state, Yauri and Rijau in Kebbi State. Audu Bida Group of Companies was one of the foremost oldest Nigerian indigenous Building and Civil Engineering Construction companies in Nigeria in the 1940s,1950s, 1960s and 1970s.
Dr. Engr. Umar Audu Bida, FCME, Ph.D, was a major local content contractor/ supplier to the French Multinational automobile giant, Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited, PAN, Kaduna Assembly plant from 1990 to 2005. Dr. Engr. Umar Audu Bida was responsible for the supply of auto components including car Hi-fi stereos, car audio speakers, car fire extinguishers, traffic hazard triangles and other local content autocomponents for the manufacture of different models of over 100,000 Peugeot cars and vans. The various models of Peugeot cars and vans included the Peugeot 504 GR, 504 SL, 504 GL, 504 L, 504 SR, 504 Pick up Vans, 504 Ambulance,
504 Trucks, 504 Expert, 505 GR, 505 Evolution, 304 SR etc.

Umar Audu Bida was responsible for negotiations with the Presidency for a high level meeting which took placd at the State House, Presidential Villa, Abuja, Nigeria with His Excellency, the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo towards the promotion of the establishment of modular refineries in Nigeria. In attendance at the meeting were top level Federal government of Nigeria officials including the former Chief of Staff to the President, General Abdullah Mohammed, the former National Security Adviser, General Aliyu Gusau, the former Group Managing Director, NNPC, Mr. Jackson Gaius Obaseki, the former NNPC Group Executive Director, Refining & Petrochemicals, Engr.
