Dr. Wondwosseen Sintayehu

Wondswossen Sintayew is an academic and practicing lawyer in the areas climate change, environmental awareness and sustainability. He holds Masters of Arts in Environment and Development from Addis Ababa University and is currently a PhD candidate at John W. McComack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies at the University of Massachusetts. He is also managing editor of the Brief Series of the Center for Governance and Sustainability at UMass Boston.

Wondwossen served as Director of Environmental Management Systems at Environmental Protection Agency of Ethiopia handling environmental research (climate change, biodiversity, chemicals and wastes, Ozone depletion etc.) giving training on environmental law, carbon consultancy and CDM project development. He was also a lawyer at the African Union Commission on bio safety. He brings an extensive knowledge and legal experience on environment and related issues to KDA.
