James Mureu
Mr. James Mureu is the board chairman of the Micro Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA) Kenya, the Managing Partner of JNM Consultants; the Managing Director of Prolong Paints K Ltd; the President of the Union of African Private Sector Organisation Ltd (UOAPSOL); the Executive Chairman of Afrinol Holdings Ltd; the Economic Diplomacy Director of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) and; the Director of Pan African Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PACCI). Mr. Mureu sits in the Joint Business Councils of Kenya/Nigeria and Kenya/Algeria and is a board member of the Business Registration Services (BRS), and the National Cereals & Produce Board (NCPB).
Mr. Mureu is the immediate past National Vice President of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry; past Chairman of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mombasa, and; the past Chairman of the National Economic Diplomacy Committee of the Kenya Chamber.
Previously, James was the liaison officer for the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Australia and the defacto trade attaché, for the Kenyan High Commission in Canberra in Australia. He founded Treasures of Africa in Australia to market Kenyan coffee and tea in the Asia Pacific markets. James has been instrumental in venture business where he founded Master Conveyors Ltd, a logistics company in Kenya for freight forwarding services.
James has worked with the Central Bank of Kenya in Mombasa and holds a B.Sc. degree in Business Management from the Hartford University, USA and a Diploma in Banking from the Kenya Polytechnic. He is currently pursuing an MBA from the Mancosa College of Business, South Africa.
Mr. Mureu is an MSME champion and in 2019, was awarded “The African Business Excellence Award” by the Voice of the Achievers Committee. Amongst being a motivational speaker, James is a Gold Award Lion Scout Leader of the President’s Award Scheme and is the past Captain and Chairman of the Nyali Golf & Country Club, Mombasa.
