Rui Matata Manuel
I have more than 15 years of experience in the fields of marketing and Sales. I have served various multinationals in the African country, namely companies in manufacturing, maining and services sectors, such as Australian Beverly Hills Petroleum (BHP), British Petroleum (BP), Brazilian mining company Vale, as marketing consultant for Southern Africa. I have also experience in Sales promotion in Africa, having worked for over 5 years and Africa Sales Deputy Director for Forever Living Products International.
I am involved in various development programmes in the Southern African Region (SADC), private and public, and founded various business platforms such as Africa Business Focus, Angola Agri-Business Association, Southern-Africa Friendship Association.
I speak fluently Portuguese, English and French. I hold a Degree in Business Administration, from the University of Namibia, a Degree in Media and Journalism from Atlantic International University (USA). I hold a Postgraduate Degree in Business and an MBA from the University of Liverpool, and a Specialization in International Trade from Indian Institute of International Relations. I am a member of American Finance Association (AFA) and American Marketing Association.
I am currently based in Luanda, Angola, working as Chief Marketing Officer for Angola Special Economic Zone. I am also an independent Business Consultant.
