Sudan’s Minister of Finance, Dr. Gibril Ibrahim, is leading the country’s delegation to the 2024 annual meetings of the IMF and World Bank in Washington from October 21-26. The meetings focus on the Development Committee, International Monetary Committee, and Finance Committee sessions. The Sudanese delegation, including Undersecretary Mohamed Bashar Mohamed and a technical team, aims to address external debt and secure financing for health, education, and humanitarian projects through international organizations. Dr. Ibrahim is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with representatives from the IMF, World Bank, and regional financial institutions, as well as counterparts from other countries, to strengthen economic cooperation and deepen ties with bilateral partners.
