Dangote Urges Halt To Petroleum Import, Says Nigeria Has Enough

Aliko Dangote, Nigerian oil billionaire, has questioned why the state-owned Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) and private retailers continue to import petroleum when his refinery has over 500 million liters in stock, claiming it’s sufficient for Nigeria if retailers purchase from it. Despite this, analysts express doubts about whether this supply can fully meet Nigeria’s demand. Recently, Dangote’s company, the Dangote Group, has clashed with the NNPC and private oil firms over control of the domestic petroleum market.
